The van is registered and insured for the transportation of goods (road transport liability insurance).
With medical devices, my company’s existing transport liability insurance policies are more extensive and cover the equipment being transported to a greater extent than normal road transport liability insurance.

If you have larger transport needs, solutions can be found from other transport companies in my network.

Some notes, especially for the transportation of medical equipment and other valuable goods

• The maximum liability of a normal carrier under the Road Transport Contract Act is up to 20eur/kg for domestic transport. The customer may take out separate insurance for the transport, thus covering the transported property to a greater extent against possible damage.
  For transportation of medical devices, MedTech-Wessman Oy has extensive insurance policies that cover more than the basic road transport insurance.
  
• NOTE! Medical devices should always be checked and measured (at least electrical safety test) after transportation by an authorised person to ensure safe operation!
  
• Primarily, I aim to transport medical devices directly or indirectly in cooperation with the official manufacturer or distributor of the device. Thus, devices can be checked in accordance with official instructions. Functional testing and electrical safety tests can be done in a correct way.
  Alternatively, I can simply transport the equipment and leave the final checks and measurements to the customer or other third-party company.
